プチ留学 British Hills

今年からEnglish Tea Partyを初め、いろんなイベントを企画して、英語に親しむ機会を作っております。

プチ留学として、福島県にあるBRITISH HILLSへ一泊で行ってまいりました。
参加者７名と先生の９名。
予想以上に楽しい経験となりました。



This year we started to go out of class and practice the live English more in some events.





We went to British Hills in Fukushima prefecture and stayed over night there.
We had spent an exciting and practical time for English skill more than expected.
It was a Fantastic experience.

2チームに分かれて、対抗戦。
いつも以上に皆さん実力を発揮され、大接戦でしたね。頭だけでなく、体も使って、真剣勝負。


とても速いしゃべり方のSheri先生。



































滞在するお部屋も全て樫の木を使用した建物で、英国から運ばれた家具などがとても素敵。
アメニティもバスローブ、スリッパと充実しており、避暑地への普通の旅行として来てもいいですね。

RoseとLavenderを混ぜたものを作りました。



Roseは皺などにも効果があり、Lavenderは疲労など
効能がたくさん。
皆様は何を作られましたか。

皆様のチームワークの素晴らしさによって、楽しい有意義な
研修旅行が出来ました。

English Afternoon Tea Party in June

6月はAfternoon Tea にＣｈａｌｌｅｎｇｅ！

Ｊｕｌｉaの説明を聞きながら、スコーン、きゅうりのサンドウィッチ、スモークサーモンとクリームチーズのサンドウィッチを作りました。
きゅうりだけのサンドウィッチはシンプルで意外に美味しいと評判が良かったですね。




更に作るときの単語をピックアップして、レッスンしたので、盛りだくさんでした。

English Tea Party お茶の飲み比べ in May

5月はお茶の種類を比べながら、味覚の表現を学びました。

Ceylon Tea
Brend of Assam,Ceylon, and Kenyan teas
Lapsang souchong tea
皆さんそれぞれ好みが分かれてましたね。
こうやって飲み比べると違いが良くわかりました。

更に、お茶の入れ方の手順を、実際に発音しながら、お茶を入れていくので、体感レッスンといった感じでした。
Steps for making tea
Boil the kettle.

Warm the teapot.

Tip the hot water out of the teapot.

Put the tea or teabags in.

Pour the hot water into the teapot.

Brew for three or so minutes.

Pour the tea, sharing it between the cups.

Top up the pot with hot water. (for the next cup)

Add milk and/or sugar.

Drink and Enjoy!

Juliaと Afternoon Tea Party

Afternoon Tea Party in English with Julia



















今回はイギリスで親しまれるTEA文化について、歴史的背景から、実際どのようにTEAを嗜んでいるのか、Julia先生から教えて頂きました。

何よりも　イギリスでしか手に入らない紅茶と手作りスコーンで、美味しく、楽しい時間を過ごしました…ね。

We could learn about the culture of English tea through the history and Julia told us how English people usually enjoy the tea.
We spent a good and delicious time with the special tea which Julia brought for us and Scorne I made by Yoko (teacher)'s recipe.

Cream Teas

Cream teas come from the counties of Devon, Somerset and Cornwall in the South-West of England.

This style of afternoon tea gets its name from a special kind of cream that was originally only made in these counties. This cream is called clotted cream. It has a very

high fat content but tastes absolutely delicious!

This is the cream used in a cream tea.

Although the custom of eating cream teas originated in the West Country you can find them all over England.

Ingredients

Plain sconesStrawberry jam

Clotted cream

Tea

Milk

(Sugar is not usually needed in the tea as the sweetness of the jam and cream is enough.)

The Tastes

The cream is rich/delicious/ sickly

The jam is sweet/ fruity

The tea is strong/weak/ milky/stewed

英国出身のJulia先生が伝統的なCream Tea Party を教えてくださいます。

美味しいスコーンと紅茶をいただきながら、楽しい英会話（ベーシック）を学べます。

アットホームな雰囲気で、優しく指導してくれますので、初めての方にも安心してご参加いただけます。
